I had seen The Return of the King before, and may watch it again eventually. I don’t think I will find it necessary to recommend it.

December 26, 2009 I have seen Pitch Black a couple times before. I may watch it again, but would not recommend it very often.

In early January, I learned that Yuko, a friend of mine for several years, had been committed to a mental hospital in Japan, near her hometown, with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. She was still committed several weeks after I learned of it, and our mutual friend, Patrick, asked me to come to Japan to help him as he tried to help arrange her release. I have tried to provide here a brief summary of my experience while working towards this goal.

I had not seen Avatar before. I would recommend seeing it on a large screen, but maybe not otherwise. I will probably watch it again eventually.
